Fast-food restaurant Jollibee is set to expand its Canadian presence with the opening of its third location in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).
This expansion complements the restaurant chain’s aim to open 100 branches in Canada in the next five years.
The two other locations in the GTA are located in Scarborough and Mississauga, which opened doors last year.
The new Toronto Wilson Station restaurant is located at 79 Billy Bishop Way, Unit C3, North York, Ontario, and is scheduled to open on 6 September.
It is the sixth restaurant for the company in the country, and follows the company’s first Alberta location opened last month.
JFC North America Philippine Brands president Maribeth Dela Cruz said: “We are so excited to be opening our doors for a third time in the Greater Toronto Area.
“We are incredibly humbled by the support we have received from locals of the Toronto area since opening our last two stores in Scarborough and Mississauga, and we look forward to being able to give our Toronto Wilson Station family the same warm and friendly service our customers know us for.”
The new restaurant will serve a range of menu items including Jolly Crispy Chicken, Jolly Spaghetti, and Peach Mango Pie.
Based in Philippines, Jollibee currently operates more than 4,500 stores in 21 countries including the US, Canada, Hong Kong, Macau, Brunei, Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait, Bahrain, Italy, and the UK.
In December last year, Jollibee Foods acquired a 15% stake in burger restaurant chain Smashburger from Black Shamrock Partners (BSP).
