The judging panel of the 2018 Restaurant & Bar Design Awards have been announced, which is scheduled to be held in London, UK, at the end of September next year.
Currently in its tenth year, the annual global competition seeks to recognise the design and architecture of food and beverage spaces that range from ships to airports, museums to burger vans, and from Michelin-starred establishments to pop-ups.

The judges for Restaurant & Bar Design Awards include personalities from hospitality, design and lifestyle spaces in the UK and worldwide.
Names of a few judges are Jumeirah Group Services vice-president Alejandro Helbling, editor in chief – Esquire, Forbes, Robb Report, Tapas & L’Officiel Spain Andres Rodriguez, UK Inception Group co-founder Charlie Gilkes, Australia’s The Lucas Group founder and executive chairman Chris Lucas, UK Iberica Restaurants managing director Marcos Fernandez Pardo, UAE Emaar Hospitality Group CEO Olivier Harnisch, UK CG Restaurants & Bars CEO Scott Matthews, Singapore YOTEL Development Asia managing director Nikhil Manchharam, USA Hakkasan Group Global Restaurants executive vice-president Gert Friedrich Kopera, Netherlands Rezidor Hotel Group chairman, board director & former CEO Wolfgang M Neumann, and USA Dream Hotel Group Creative SVP Cory Brian Ingram among others.
In addition, the judges of the third annual Restaurant & Bar Product Design Awards 2018 have also been announced. The competition is dedicated to rewarding design excellence for products and their innovative use in the design of food and beverage spaces.
Entries from more than 70 countries will begin on 8 January 2018. Online judging will commence on 9 May 2018 and the announcement of shortlisted entries will be made on 14 June 2018.
