American fast food restaurant chain KFC has launched its bun-less, all-chicken sandwich—the Waffle Double Down—in Canada.

The sandwich features a Belgian waffle in between two chicken fillets, drizzled with Canadian maple aioli sauce.

According to KFC Canada, the sandwich will be available for a limited time period in all participating stores.

KFC Canada chief marketing officer Samantha Redman said: “The Double Down is our most talked about and demanded menu item in Canada, so we wanted to do something special exclusively for Canadian fans.

“We know fans have been craving chicken and waffles on our menu, and we’re happy to provide this unique take on the trendy food pairing.”

The Double Down sandwich first debuted in 2010 and went on to become the brand’s best-selling new menu item ever, with more than 350,000 sold in its first ten days of release.
