American pizza restaurant chain Marco’s Pizza has signed a new multi-unit development agreement to boost its footprint in Texas.

Under the agreement, the chain will develop 20 additional locations in the region by the end of 2025.

The new deal comes soon after the company opened its 1,000th store.

Travis Davis and Solis Management will own and operate the new location.

The franchise currently operates six Marco’s Pizza stores in San Antonio, New Braunfels, Buda, Pflugerville, Georgetown, and Boerne.

Additionally, it is developing three stores in San Marcos, Bee Cave and Marble Falls.

Solis Management currently operates six Marco’s Pizza stores in San Antonio, New Braunfels, Buda, Pflugerville, Georgetown, and Boerne, plus an additional three stores in development in San Marcos, Bee Cave and Marble Falls.

Marco’s Pizza chief development officer Ron Stilwell noted: “Texas is an ideal state for our continued expansion as it has a strong foundation in terms of unit count and franchisee health, all while yielding an impressive number of high-profile opportunities.

“Now is the time to build on that foundation and we look forward to working with franchise partners who align with that mission. Additional target development markets across Texas include Dallas – Fort Worth, Houston, San Antonio, Austin, and Rio Grande Valley among others.”

This new deal accelerates Marco’s strategic expansion plans across the US.

The company opened 60 stores so far this year and is reportedly launching an additional 20 before the year ends.

Additionally, it has 110 new store commitments in the pipeline.

In July, Marco’s Pizza announced plans to open 13 new locations in Palm Beach County, Florida by 2025.
