Three Marco’s Pizza outlets are currently operational in Southern California at Upland, Fontana and Hesperia. Two additional branches, in Yucaipa and Highland, are under construction and scheduled to open this month.

Sites for the remaining locations are being identified across the region.

Alongside Marco’s Pizza, Gill also operates 21 Subway restaurants and one Auntie Anne’s outlet.

Gill said: “As a multi-unit operator, you look for a brand that combines structure with opportunity. Marco’s offered a strong foundation, robust support, and a team that truly partners with franchisees. That balance allows us to be creative operators while working within a system designed for growth.

“We’re proud of the momentum we’ve built so far and are excited to continue expanding across California, bringing Marco’s to even more communities throughout the region.”

Marco’s Pizza stated that, with interest in new stores in California remaining strong, it is concentrating on bringing in seasoned multi-unit franchisees who are seeking “a scalable platform and long-term growth potential”.

Marco’s Pizza chief development officer Gerardo Flores said: “Baljit exemplifies the type of experienced, growth-minded operator we’re proud to partner with.

“His disciplined approach, family-led infrastructure, and deep understanding of multi-unit operations position him for strong growth in Southern California, and we’re excited to support his continued expansion.”

Last September, Marco’s Pizza signed a franchise agreement for three new units in Germantown, Maryland and the surrounding areas.
