McDonald’s Australia has announced an expansion of its Quarter Pounder range, introducing two new versions of the burger.
From 7 August 2024, customers will find new Quarter Pounder options across all restaurants in the country.
The updated menu will include the debut of the Quarter Pounder BBQ Bacon and Crispy Onions and the return of the Quarter Pounder Deluxe.
The new Quarter Pounder BBQ Bacon and Crispy Onions is the first in the Australian market to combine a rasher of bacon, Australian beef, pickles, cheese and onions. The burger is topped with barbecue sauce.
McDonald’s has confirmed the continuation of its seasonal offering, Mozzarella Sticks with Sweet Chilli Sauce, into the winter season.
The winter menu items will be offered nationwide via including drive-through, kiosk, front counter, the MyMacca’s app and McDelivery.

“With fresh twists on one of our most loved burgers, featuring exciting new combinations and quality ingredients, we’re warming up Macca’s winter menu and satisfying those cravings this season.”
The latest development comes after McDonald’s Australia announced the return of the boot-shaped Chicken McNuggets known as “Nuggies” for a limited period.
In July 2024 McDonald’s reported a 12% decrease in net income for the second quarter of 2024, with figures falling to $2.02bn from the $2.31bn recorded in the same quarter of the previous year.
