Canada-based restaurant chain Mucho Burrito has announced the relaunch of the Original Ghost Pepper Burrito for a limited time, starting this autumn (September to November).
The Ghost Pepper Burrito was first launched in 2012 and has since been relaunched three times.
Mucho Burrito marketing manager Anita Dewan said: “A sincere apology to all our spice-loving burrito friends—we’re sorry for ghosting you.
“When we took the Ghost Pepper Burrito off our menu, we could not have predicted the online response from burrito fans who felt everything from confusion to betrayal. That’s why we’re excited to bring it back so everyone can experience, and re-experience, the heat.”
Mucho Burrito offers two Ghost Pepper Burrito varieties: the ‘Wimpy’ option for mild spice and the ‘Hotter Than Hell’ option for extreme heat.
Both the burrito versions are made with grilled chicken, ghost pepper bacon, diced jalapenos and ghost pepper fig marmalade, served in a sundried tomato tortilla.
