US-based chain Nathan’s Famous has reported total revenues of $101.85m for the fiscal year ending 31 March 2019 (FY2019), compared to $104.2m for the same period last year.

The restaurant chain also reported $21.49m in net income for 2019, compared to $2.63m for the same period in 2018.

Income from operations of the company for FY2019 was $27.97m, compared to $27.1m for the same period the prior year.

The fast-food restaurant chain also reported adjusted EBITDA of $30.4m for FY2019, compared to $29.11m for the same period last year.

The company reported earnings per diluted share of $5.09 for the fiscal year of 2019, compared to earnings per diluted share of $0.62 in 2018.

In addition, sales from company-operated restaurants were $13.6m during fiscal 2019, compared to $14.08m during last year.

Sales were negatively affected due to unfavourable weather conditions in the north-east US during April and the summer months.

Nathan’s Famous also reported $4.17m in revenues from franchise operations during the fiscal year 2019 compared to $4.47m in 2018.

The restaurant chain also opened thirteen new franchised outlets, including five international locations, and four Branded Menu Program outlets in 2019.

Nathan’s Famous offers various products through its restaurant system, foodservice sales programmes and product licensing activities across 50 US states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the US Virgin Islands, Guam, and 16 other countries.
