Online restaurant reservation platform OpenTable has launched a business intelligence (BI) suite for its restaurant management product GuestCenter.
The BI suite offers insights and recommendations including shift occupancy analysis, booking insights, referral insights, Restaurant Owner app and monthly business reports for restaurants.
Leveraging these tools and insights, restaurant operators can accommodate more guests, understand booking habits and preferences of customers and personalise hospitality to retain new customers.
OpenTable product SVP Prasad Gune said: “Our goal is to give restaurants the insights they need to make well-informed decisions affecting their business.
“The business intelligence suite offers at-a-glance dashboards showing both past performance and trend analysis which helps restaurants manage their operations, adjust their staffing schedules, and tailor their marketing efforts, all in real time.”
In addition, the technology company plans to introduce additional analytics in the coming months, including a first time guest and visit frequency report, as well as reviews analysis and covers.
The information from these reports will help restaurants to understand how to track their customers’ activity and convert them into regulars.
OpenTable is a part of Booking Holdings that offers online restaurant reservations by accommodating more than 25 million diners per month across more than 45,000 restaurants.
