The collaboration sits within Papa Johns’ multi-year programme to overhaul and modernise its fulfilment technology infrastructure.

Deliverect’s system is intended to act as a central hub for delivery operations.
It connects every ordering channel with the point-of-sale and delivery processes, so that both in-house drivers and third-party service partners are managed through a single platform.
Papa Johns’ chief digital and technology officer Kevin Vasconi said: “As we continue to prioritise our technology evolution to deliver a better experience for our customers and our in-store team members, one key area of improvement is to optimise and simplify our delivery process. Partnering with Deliverect allows us to do exactly that.”
Through the platform, orders placed via Papa Johns’ first-party channels are directed to the “most appropriate delivery fleet”.
Depending on how each restaurant operates and current conditions, orders can be sent automatically or manually to Papa Johns drivers, third-party providers, or a combination of both.
Deliverect’s technology combines machine learning with configurable business rules to cut back on manual handoffs.
Teams also gain real-time insight into driver allocation, expected arrival times and delivery performance data.
Deliverect vice-president Noah Hayes said: “Deliverect is a global leader in delivery management, and we know how critical it is to protect the customer experience.
“We’re thrilled to partner with Papa Johns, a brand that has built a remarkable legacy in the US around quality, innovation, and delivering great experiences to customers.”
The rollout will take place gradually, with the full deployment across participating US locations planned to conclude by late 2027.
In January, Papa Johns selected Google Cloud’s Food Ordering agent to overhaul its digital ordering channels.
