California-based restaurant chain Pink Taco opened its newest location at 7 Times Square in New York City on 24 April.

Covering an area of 10,500ft², the new outlet has a seating capacity of 300 across two floors with the first floor featuring an expansive bar.

The second floor also includes a bar with high-top and cocktail seating.

A private dining room is present off to the side, with this area separated through sliding doors.

The menu offered by Pink Taco includes a blend of traditional and modern Mexican dishes such as fried lobster tacos with chipotle mayo, coconut shrimp tacos served with red cabbage and the big barbacoa burrito paired with Mexican rice and pinto beans.

The restaurant cocktail menu includes the frozen strawberry, served in a pineapple and the espresso tequila martini made with El Jimador tequila, caffe espresso liqueur and Disaronno Velvet.

Tequila and mezcal spirits are available on the menu.

The restaurant said that its new outlet focuses on music, incorporating an advanced sound system and offering a rotation of DJs.

Happy hours will be offered from Monday to Friday between 3pm and 7pm.

Adhering to New York’s brunch culture, Pink Taco will offer items such as pink churro pancakes; Mexican bread pudding French toast; breakfast papas with beef barbacoa, breakfast potatoes, pickled jalapenos, Mexican crema, cotija cheese and avocado and eggs.

There will also be rainbow mimosa buckets and pitchers of fiery and spiked Agua frescas.
