US-based quick-service restaurant brand Popeyes has announced the launch of Honey Lemon Pepper Wings, a limited-time offering that combines sweet, tangy and peppery flavours.  

Between 19 March and 31 March 2024, the wings will be available exclusively through the Popeyes app and website, before being released in restaurants across the country from 1 April.

Honey Lemon Pepper Wings are juicy and marinated with a crispy exterior.

Each wing is hand-battered, breaded and fried to achieve a crispness like that of other popular Popeyes dishes, such as its Bone-In Chicken.

The wings are infused with the zest of lemon and the warmth of black pepper, finished with a touch of honey for added sweetness.

They join a lineup of flavours including Honey BBQ, Roasted Garlic Parmesan, Signature Hot, Ghost Pepper and Sweet ‘N’ Spicy.

“By introducing Honey Lemon Pepper Wings, we’re doing more than expanding our menu; we’re inviting our guests to rethink what they know about great wings. It’s a bold move, sure. But bold is what we do best.”

Popeyes is expanding, and signed a master franchise and development agreement with Restaurant Brands Iberia in February 2024 to bring the brand to Italy.

The first Italian Popeyes is set to open in 2024, marking a significant milestone in the brand’s European growth strategy.

It also aims to double its presence in the UK by opening 30 new outlets in 2024. Since its UK launch in November 2021, the brand has established 36 locations, including five drive-throughs and seven delivery kitchens.
