UK-based coffee and breakfast chain Pret A Manger has entered a partnership with Indian delivery platform Swiggy to expand its presence in Mumbai and Delhi, World Coffee Portal has reported.

The collaboration introduces Pret A Manger’s menu to the delivery market for the first time in the country’s two largest cities.

The partnership follows the brand’s entry into India in April 2023 through a partnership with Reliance Brands.

Pret A Manger has since opened nine outlets in Delhi and Mumbai.

The partnership with Swiggy will allow Pret to make its food items and organic coffees readily available to a wider customer base.

The company’s menu includes items such as the Chicken Super Club granary sandwich and the Posh Cheddar Baguette, along with a selection of organic coffees.

The partnership also allows customers to tailor their Barista-made drink orders through Swiggy.

Pret has put in place strict guidelines and standard operating procedures to ensure that the quality and freshness of food and packaging obtained via Swiggy are consistent with in-store standards.

The launch was announced on social media platforms using a computer-generated image of a coffee cup at the famous Mumbai waterfront monument, the Gateway of India.

Pret A Manger Asia managing director Eira Jarvis was quoted by World Coffee Portal as saying: “We opened our first Pret shop in Mumbai last year and since then have continued to grow across the country. We have had great success so far and now have nine shops open across Mumbai in Delhi.

“We’ve had lots of great feedback from all the customers who have popped into one of our shops and, with this new partnership, we look forward to continuing to offer even more customers across India our freshly made food and organic coffees wherever, whenever they want.”

Swiggy national business head Sidharth Bhakoo was quoted by AdGully as saying: “Swiggy is always looking for ways to bring the best of culinary experiences to consumers.

“Pret A Manger has been well-loved by users since its debut in India last year. Swiggy is excited to bring them online for the first time to delight and meet the demands of millions of people on the platform.”
