FAT Brands has struck a development deal with Canadian Cookie Enterprises to open 25 new Pretzelmaker locations in Canada.

The new franchised locations will be opened across the country over the next ten years.

FAT Brands chief development officer Taylor Wiederhorn said: “Canadian Cookie Enterprises, Inc. has proven to be an integral expansion partner for Pretzelmaker in Canada throughout the past two decades.

“Building on their existing footprint of 52 Canadian units, we are pleased to finalize a new development agreement to build 25 additional locations throughout the country.

In July this year, Pretzelmaker opened its second drive-through location in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

The new Pretzelmaker Cedar Rapids drive-through restaurant is located at 1115 Blairs Ferry Road NE.

The first Iowa drive-through location in Mason City.

Pretzelmaker president Allison Lauenstein said: “Expanding our drive-through model continues to be a key growth objective for the brand. Our guests were extremely receptive to the model in Mason City, Iowa, so we expect a similar response in Cedar Rapids.”
