Global Franchise Group (GFG) brand Pretzelmaker has unveiled Fresh Twist, a new concept designed to operate in both traditional and non-traditional venues across the US.
The Fresh Twist concept features pretzel-inspired, all-day menu offerings as well as premium pricing with competitive food costs, ongoing training and support from Pretzelmaker franchisor GFG.
The stall occupies a space of 250ft2, which can be resized to suit venue requirements, according to the company.
Menu offerings will include pretzels, pretzel dogs and pretzel bites, breakfast sandwiches on pretzel buns, pretzel flatbread pizzas, cinnamon toast pretzel sticks and pepperoni pretzel rolls along with lemonades and smoothies.
Pretzelmaker executive vice-president Allison Lauenstein said: “Pretzelmaker is known for our product innovation and putting a unique spin on traditional pretzel products. Fresh Twist by Pretzelmaker demonstrates just how versatile our best-in-class pretzel dough can be.
“We know customers are snacking more and are always looking for a portable way to grab a meal on the go. Fresh Twist was designed with that in mind. The concept is ideal for travel centres, universities and airports.”
Potential franchisees can benefit from a streamlined equipment package while the first Fresh Twist franchise agreement will be offered special construction incentives from GFG.
In addition, GFG is in talks with OnCampus Brands, a higher education development firm, to market and expand Fresh Twist to dining programmes and auxiliary services in colleges and universities across the US.
GFG currently owns and operates five quick service restaurant concepts including Great American Cookies, Marble Slab Creamery, Hot Dog on a Stick, Pretzelmaker, MaggieMoo’s Ice Cream & Treatery and Round Table Pizza.
Apart from the US, Pretzelmaker has a presence in Canada, Saudi Arabia, Mexico and Guam.
