Restaurant technology firm QSR Automations has extended its partnership with search engine company Google to introduce new functionality for restaurant guests.
Dubbed Waitlist through Reserve with Google, the new functionality allows diners to get featured on the participating restaurants’ wait lists and also view wait times.
Restaurant guests can get on the waiting list directly from Google Search or Google Maps.
The latest deal follows a partnership established between both the companies in December last year to integrate reservation management platform DineTime into Reserve with Google platform.
Leveraging DineTime’s application programming interface, the integrated platform provides restaurants with real-time inventory to diners searching for a table.
QSR Automations founder and CEO Lee Leet said: “Our consumer strategy is to partner with the platforms that diners are already using to make dining decisions.
“With this integration, we are capitalising on the way consumers select dining locations so that DineTime restaurants will be served up in those search results.
“We are delighted to have this collaboration with Google, which allows our customers a new level of convenience to offer their guests for their next dining experience.”
In addition, the new feature allows customers to receive accurate, restaurant wait times at no additional cost, and assists restaurants convey appreciation and concern for their patrons’ time.
