Rebel Foods, the master franchise holder for Wendy’s in India, has announced the launch of the 200th outlet of the American fast food chain in the country.
The new 1,142ft² location at Elan Miracle Mall in Sector 82, Gurugram can accommodate 30 customers.
The outlet offers Wendy’s signature menu items such as hamburgers, premium chicken burgers, nuggets, fries and its well-known ‘”frosty” dessert.
Rebel Foods India and MENA [Middle East and North Africa] co-founder and CEO Ankush Grover stated: “Reaching 200 Wendy’s restaurants in just 40 months, India has emerged as one of the brand’s fastest-growing markets, reflecting the deep consumer love of fans across the country.
“Our partnership with Wendy’s continues to thrive, and with localised innovative new menu additions like the Korean and Chimichurri ranges, we’re changing the way India enjoys hamburgers.”
Wendy’s operates in 50 cities in India, with 15 of the outlets dine-in restaurants.
Wendy’s Company Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa senior vice-president and managing director Chris Conway stated: “We are building a high-performing, differentiated QSR [quick service restaurant] brand in India. Growing to 200 restaurants demonstrates that Wendy’s is winning in the market by delivering what customers want: fresh, famous food and exceptional customer experiences.
“We deeply appreciate our strong partnership with Rebel Foods, whose growth vision has been key to our rapid expansion.”
Rebel Foods, which became the master franchise owner for Wendy’s in February 2023, is also planning a substantial investment in the brand’s growth, as reported by Moneycontrol.
The company intends to invest $25m up to 2027, with the aim of more than doubling the number of Wendy’s retail outlets to above 400.
