Restaurant chain Rudy’s Pizza Napoletana is set to open its newest location in Harborne, Birmingham, in July 2023, Retail & Leisure International reported.

The pizzeria, which serves classical Neapolitan-style pizzas, will open its third location at 77 High Street, at a former Hawkshead bar that closed less than one year after its launch.

This new location follows the opening of the brand’s second location in Brindleyplace earlier this year.

The restaurant group also operates from another location in Bennetts Hills.

Rudy’s Pizza managing director Neal Bates said: “We are delighted to announce that our next Rudy’s site will be located in Birmingham’s Harborne. Birmingham has been incredibly welcoming to the Rudy’s famiglia since we first opened here in 2019 and we can’t wait to expand our sites in this city.

“Harborne, with its audience of young professionals and families, is a great location for Rudy’s and we can’t wait to open our doors in the summer.”

Rudy’s uses authentic Neapolitan tradition for making the pizzas and offers Marinara, Margherita, Calabrese and Porchetta.

The Calabrese pizza is topped with tomato, fior di latte, basil and ‘nduja sausage while their Porchetta pizza includes roast porchetta and sage roasted potatoes and smoked mozzarella.

Rudy’s also makes fresh dough daily using Caputo ‘00’ flour, which is fermented for at least 24hrs.

The restaurant also claims to import other ingredients, such as the San Marzano tomatoes and Fior di Latte mozzarella from Naples, Italy.

The dough is then cooked in a Stefano Ferrara oven for one minute.
