Siren Craft Brew will open a taproom and restaurant at the Station Hill mixed-use development in Reading in May 2024.

The Berkshire-based brewery will become the inaugural tenant of the development and has secured a 15-year lease for a 3,800ft² space on Friars Walk.

It will serve a selection of locally crafted beverages.

Station Hill, an £850m mixed-use development, is set to offer 625,000ft² of working space for 8,000 employees, 1,300 homes, a 600-unit build-to-rent community and 100,000ft² of new retail and leisure facilities, The Business Magazine had reported.

The design for Siren Craft Brew’s new location has been unveiled, showcasing a contemporary aesthetic with floral motifs and the brand’s signature “S” logo.

Siren Craft Brew founder Darron Anley said: “One of our all-time ambitions has been to open a flagship tap room in our hometown of Reading, so it’s incredible to finally announce that we’re doing it.

“We’re committed to building something new and unique, while supporting the great work that other like-minded independent businesses have been doing for many years. Station Hill is the right venue, in the right place, at the right time, and we align with its ambition to bring a diverse and exciting offering to the town centre.

“We cannot wait to be pouring brewery-fresh pints from the new site this spring.”

The brewery aims to transform its Station Hill venue into a hub for beer enthusiasts and a showcase for independent drink producers.

With a high-spec kitchen, the brewery will offer street-food-inspired cuisine. From its start in 2014 with just three people, Siren Craft Brew now employs more than 60 and produced the equivalent of four million pints in 2022.
