Burger restaurant chain Smashburger has relaunched its mac and cheese burger, known as the S’mac & Cheese, and also introduced its spicy version, the Scorchin’ Hot Mac & Cheese Burger, in the US.

Both are now available as limited-time offerings (LTOs) across Smashburger stores in the US and online.

The burgers are produced using certified Angus beef topped with American cheese and stacked on toasted artisan classic buns.

The Scorchin’ Hot Mac & Cheese Burger features Smashburger’s signature Scorchin’ Hot Seasoning on top.

The mac and cheese layer, created using the brand’s smashing technique, can be added to any burger.

The technique involves smashing the mac and cheese on the grill, creating a crispy and flavourful baked cheese layer prior to adding it to the burger.

Until 3 January 2024, consumers can order the two items for take-out or delivery on Smashburger.com, as well as via its mobile app, DoorDash, Postmates, Uber Eats and GrubHub.

Smashburger first rolled out the S’mac & Cheese Burger for a limited time at participating locations in the US in February 2023.

In June 2023, Smashburger entered an agreement to open five new locations in Salt Lake City, Utah.
