Sodexo has received a 15-year catering contract worth more than £100m from the Yorkshire County Cricket Club (YCCC) and Leeds Cricket, Football and Athletics (LCF&A).
Under the contract, the foodservice firm will oversee hospitality and public catering at the Emerald Headingley Stadium in West Yorkshire, England.
The company’s 14-member team along with more than 1,000 temporary staff will offer services for all matches at the stadium, including the ICC Cricket World Cup and Super League Ashes series.
Sodexo Sports & Leisure business development director Nick Byrom said: “We are thrilled to announce our long-term partnership with the iconic Emerald Headingley Stadium.
“Sodexo will significantly invest in the public and executive facilities at the ground to improve the speed of service and further enhance the customer experience.
“The company will also be a major sponsor of Yorkshire Cricket and Leeds Rhinos until 2034 to demonstrate our long-term investment strategy in sport.”

In another development, Sodexo has extended its catering contract with Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, for an additional ten years. The companies initially signed the contract in 1999.
As part of the latest extension, the foodservice firm will renovate Hubbell Dining Hall, as well as open a fully licensed, Sodexo-owned Starbucks at the university’s Olmsted Student Center in mid-2020.
