Sodexo has extended its contract with pharma giant AstraZeneca for food and facilities management services across the UK, Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Norway for five years.
The contract was extended in 2012 to include additional sites and services in the UK and other European countries, and continues its trajectory of growth and innovation.

Sodexo will continue to deliver a comprehensive range of services including food, workplace services and cleaning – including in quality-controlled lab areas – technical services, grounds maintenance and waste handling.
Sodexo’s 2025 ambition is to deliver an exceptional client and consumer experience.
It is therefore introducing global food brands such as Kitchen Works and Modern Recipe, designed to enhance the dining environment and foster collaboration.

Sodexo is also implementing initiatives to reduce the pharmaceutical company’s environmental footprint, such as the WasteWatch programme to halve food waste by 2025, a “Reusable Food Box” programme to minimise packaging waste, and carbon labelling on menus to promote sustainable consumer choices.

Sodexo’s global Wando app is set to digitise critical areas such as health and safety, financial performance, quality and compliance.
Wando will act as a central reporting platform, generating data and insights to drive key performance indicators and ensure consistency and transparency across services.

In December 2023, Sodexo secured catering contract extensions from entities including the government and police authorities in the UK and Ireland.
Under the Transport for London contract, Sodexo’s team will continue to provide catering services to employees of the Underground, the British Transport Police, the Metropolitan Police and the city’s bus drivers up to 2025.
