Sonic Drive-In has introduced its own cherry limeade and ocean water flavours to retail stores across the US.
The American drive-in fast-food chain is also planning to launch its frozen ice pops, puddings, gelatines and lollipops in retail stores during spring.
This move to add the chain’s products to grocery stores allows customers to enjoy its flavours at home. Sonic currently serves approximately 3 million customers every day.
Sonic Drive-In chief strategy and business development officer John Budd said: “With the introduction of these new and exciting retail products, we’re keeping Sonic top-of-mind by meeting current fans where they are and welcoming new fans to the brand where a drive-in does not yet exist.”
The restaurant is planning to launch the grab-and-go products in collaboration with licensing partners including Jel Sert Company, Ziegenfelder and Quality Candy.
Jel Sert Company offers gelatine, shelf-stable freezer bars and pudding mixes, Ziegenfelder offers frozen ice pops and Quality Candy offers lollipops and hard candy.
