Canadian coffeehouse chain Spot Coffee has signed a franchise café agreement with US-based supermarket chain Tops Markets.
The new SPoT Express cafe will be located inside Tops Friendly Market at 4777 Transit Road in Depew, New York. It marks the third SPoT Express for the brand in Tops Markets opened this year.
Spot Coffee COO Dan Hensley said: “Our multi-franchise alliance with Tops is growing stronger with each new SPoT Express that we open inside their friendly and popular supermarkets.
“We deeply value our shared commitment with Tops to provide our customers from all walks of life with the highest quality products and service.”
In June this year, Spot Coffee signed several new franchise agreements to expand its business.

By GlobalDataAs part of this, Tops is responsible for establishing a SPoT Express location in its supermarket at 3980 Maple Road, Amherst, New York.
SPoT also signed a franchise agreement with Niagara Club to develop a 3,500ft² café on 24 Buffalo Avenue in Niagara Falls, New York, which is scheduled to open before the end of this year.
During the same month, Spot Coffee signed agreements with a franchisee in Victor, New York.
The company also entered into talks with another franchisee to establish a SPoT Express in Tonawanda, New York, as well as with New York University to develop a location within its campus.
Spot Coffee operates and franchises community-oriented cafés and Express cafés in the US. It offers various made-to-order meals along with micro-roasted coffee items.
