UK-based food service company SSP Group has secured an eight-year contract to manage five new outlets at Christchurch International Airport in New Zealand.

The new contract marks SSP’s entry into the New Zealand market and further expands its footprint in the Asia Pacific region.

The company also announced plans to introduce a café, a bar, casual dining offerings, two tailor-made concepts and a quick service restaurant.

While the specific brands and concepts are yet to be disclosed, the selection has been made in close collaboration with the Christchurch International Airport team.

Christchurch Airport CEO Justin Watson said: “This is an important part of our wider refresh of our food and beverage offering, to give us a suite of offerings to meet all our customer needs.

“It is important to have a range of great modern food and beverage options to reflect not only the broad international spectrum of our customers, but also their tastes and preferences.
