UK-based food and beverage outlets operator SSP has opened a new café at St Pancras International station in London in partnership with UK café chain The Breakfast Club.

The café chain’s first entry to a UK train station follows SSP and The Breakfast Club’s initial collaboration in 2023 to launch a café at Gatwick Airport’s North Terminal.

SSP UK & Ireland CEO Kari Daniels said: “Opening The Breakfast Club at St. Pancras is a significant milestone for SSP. Not only is this our first rail location with this much-loved brand, but it’s in one of the capital’s biggest stations too.

“I’ve no doubt that this Breakfast Club café will be the best part of the journey for our customers travelling to London via St. Pancras.”

The Breakfast Club at St. Pancras is situated on the Lower Ground Floor of the station’s arcade, providing an accessible dining spot for Eurostar passengers.

The 3,660ft² café can accommodate 156 dine-in customers and offers an all-day dining experience and a full bar.

The Breakfast Club’s menu at St. Pancras features signature dishes such as the All American Breakfast and Grand Royale Benedict, alongside innovative takes on traditional favourites such as the Cheeseburger French Dip and Smashed Avo and Mojo Picon.

Designed with train travel in mind, the café’s modern aesthetic provides a comfortable setting for passengers to enjoy a meal, cocktail or coffee.

The new outlet aims to enhance the breakfast and dining options available to travellers at the station.

St. Pancras International’s parent company HS1 commercial director Wendy Spinks said: “The Breakfast Club and St. Pancras are a match made in pancake heaven. We are thrilled to house their first railway station restaurant and believe their all-day dining concept will add a delicious option for those travelling through the station at any time.

“The Breakfast Club is the perfect addition to the diverse collection of brands we have curated for our visitors.”

In February 2024 SSP also extended its partnership with Liverpool John Lennon Airport, which is now set to continue until at least 2036.

The long-term agreement includes plans for refurbishing existing units, rebranding and introducing new outlets to serve increasing passenger numbers.
