UNLIMEAT, a South Korean plant-based meat producer, has partnered with Starbucks Hong Kong to launch the UNLIMEAT Pulled Pork Wrap, a fully plant-based meal option.
The wrap features UNLIMEAT’s vegan pulled pork, complemented by fresh vegetables, including carrot, red cabbage, and lettuce.
Starbucks has been actively incorporating plant-based items into its offerings, aligning with the ‘value consumption’ movement that is gaining traction globally.
UNLIMEAT CEO Keumchae Min said: “We have been dreaming of launching something at Starbucks ever since we launched our first products in Hong Kong.
“Our pulled pork has been our most popular product in the United States, so we’re so excited to introduce the product to Hong Kong people through Starbucks. It is especially meaningful for us that we were able to launch a menu item that contained the name of our product.”
Last month, the coffee chain certified 6,091 Greener Stores, nearly doubling the count since March 2023.
