UK-based pub company Stonegate Group has reopened the renovated Pembroke pub, in Coulsdon, England, following a quarter of a million-pound investment.

The overhauled pub features added seating, fixtures and fittings, as well as a brand-new sports area.

The sports area of the pub now includes a new pool table and darts board. The area is also equipped with extra HD TV screens for guests to watch live sports.

The venue was closed briefly to carry out the refurbishment works.

In a statement, Stonegate Group said: “ It is not just the interior of the pub which has been enhanced, but the pub’s outdoor area has also been transformed, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy drinks with friends and family and you can even bring your furry friends along.

“With plenty of seating and outdoor lights, you can cosy up under the stars and enjoy the best of The Pembroke.”

The company has also revamped Pembroke’s menu with an extensive range of beers, cask ales, wines, spirits and cocktails.

Its food menu now features pies, fish, chips and burgers, as well as breakfast, lunch and dinner menus.

Pembroke general manager Jeff said: “I am so excited to begin this new chapter of the Pembroke and get the doors open again. The pub’s investment has breathed a new life into it, and myself and the team are so pleased with how it looks.

“We have such a great offering that suits every need and occasion and we cannot wait to see you all for food, drinks, sports and some fun. We look forward to welcoming old and new faces alike.”

In another development, Stonegate announced that the refurbished Fox & Hounds pub in South West London will be reopened to the public on 30 November 2023.

Stonegate has invested £233,000 in its restoration project, which has refreshed the pub’s interior and exterior, its food and drink menus and its entertainment offerings.

Earlier this week, Stonegate Group revealed that its founder and chairman Ian Payne, will retire in January 2024.

Payne established Stonegate Group in 2010 after acquiring 333 pubs and bars from Mitchells and Butlers.
