Subway Canada has expanded its culinary horizons with the introduction of five new Globally Inspired Subs and one Bowl.

The company noted that its new launch brings international flavours, including new sauces, proteins, and toppings inspired by global destinations to Canadians.

Its new menu includes Tandoori Twist, Cuban Crunch, Nashville-Style Hot Chicken, Chimichurri Steak & Cheese, and Little Sicily subs.

The Tandoori Twist, inspired by the classic Indian dish, features a Tandoori-spiced pork cutlet complemented by Monterey cheddar cheese, spinach, tomato, banana peppers, crispy onions, and a vibrant Tandoori-spiced sauce.

On the other hand, the Cuban Crunch offers a new take on the traditional Cubano sandwich, stacking deli-style ham, porchetta, habanero cheese, crispy onions, pickles, lettuce, Cuban-style sauce, and smoky mustard, the company said.

The Nashville-Style Hot Chicken sandwich features rotisserie-style chicken, Nashville-style hot sauce, lettuce, tomato, pickles, crispy onions, habanero jack cheese, and Peppercorn Ranch.

The Chimichurri Steak & Cheese pays homage to Argentina’s love affair with beef, featuring thinly shaved steak, spinach, green pepper, red onion, tomatoes, melted cheese, and Chimichurri sauce.

The Little Sicily sub is inspired by Italian flavours, combining capicola, pepperoni, fresh vegetables, creamy mozzarella, garlic aioli, house sandwich sauce, and parmesan cheese on Italian Herb and Cheese bread.

Additionally, the Shawarma Chicken Rice Bowl introduces a Middle Eastern twist with seasoned rotisserie-style chicken, wild rice blend, vegetables, Monterey Jack cheese, tahini, and hot sauce.

The company added that Subway Canada’s culinary manager and chef John Botelho embarked on a personal taste adventure to curate the Globally Inspired line-up, conducting extensive research and taste testing to ensure authenticity and appeal.

The menu also caters to vegetarians with the introduction of two new subs – The Big Veggie and Tandoori-Mozza – featuring a veggie patty, creamy mozzarella, and a medley of vegetables.
