Food delivery platform Swiggy has partnered with checkout network Simpl to provide a streamlined, one-tap checkout experience to its customers across India.

The collaboration aims to enhance the convenience and efficiency of transactions for a wide range of Swiggy services, including Swiggy Instamart, Dineout and Swiggy Genie.

The one-tap checkout feature will allow customers to skip paying bills repeatedly and instead receive a bill for their orders across all merchants. It provides the option to pay later.

The partnership will allow customers to order from more than 290,000 restaurants on Swiggy and access a variety of products on Swiggy Instamart using Simpl’s one-tap checkout.

Swiggy anticipates a surge in demand during the 2023 festive season, with Christmas and New Year’s Eve celebrations coupled with five weekends in December.

Simpl founder and CEO Nitya Sharma stated: “An increasing number of customers today are seeking convenience while transacting online with food and hyperlocal delivery sectors among their top choices.

Food and drink and hyperlocal category transactions on Simpl have increased by 75%, while the number of transacting users has increased by 48%.
