US-based foodservice distribution company Sysco has acquired UK foodservice distributor Kent Frozen Foods (KFF) for an undisclosed amount.
In January this year, Sysco agreed to acquire Kent Frozen Foods, with the transaction receiving approval from the Competition and Markets Authority last month.

Sysco Europe international foodservice operations senior vice-president Ajoy Karna said: “This acquisition is a perfect addition to our portfolio of businesses in the UK.
“We are delighted to welcome KFF associates into the Sysco family of companies.”
KFF will continue to operate as an independent entity and will work collaboratively with Sysco and its other UK and European businesses.
The UK distributor works in partnership with food suppliers to distribute chilled and frozen food products to the British catering industry.
Last year, Sysco reported more than $55bn in sales for the fiscal year, which ended in July.
In February this year, Sysco acquired the foodservice distribution business of Doerle Food Services, as part of efforts to expand its network in the US.
Headquartered in Houston, Texas, Sysco markets, sells and distributes food products to restaurants, educational and healthcare facilities.
The company currently has 65,000 associates and operates around 300 distribution facilities across the world serving more than 500,000 customer locations.
