TableDrop has launched a new app in the UK that offers solutions for table service and order management for bars and restaurants during the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.

The app tracks the users’ locations to automatically load the menu for the TableDrop venue they are in. It allows bars, restaurant and cafes to sign up and provide table service at their venue.

The venue owner or manager of the restaurant will be able to add their menu items and tables into the app.

Customers will be able to select their table number along with the items for their order, using the app. They can send the order to the TableDrop app on the establishment’s smartphone or tablet.

The company noted that the app is particularly helpful during the Covid-19 pandemic as it helps maintain social distancing between customers.

TableDrop founder and CEO John Bennett said: “Right now, TableDrop offers an invaluable tool in helping to keep staff and customers safe. And after the pandemic is over, it is still a great timesaver, offers key efficiency benefits to the establishments and a great way for customers to order their food or drink.

“Customers like the app because it is quick and easy to use, and they do not have to wait for a server. And the kitchen and bar staff like it because they receive the order as soon as it is placed, meaning that they can process the order much more efficiently. It is a win-win.”
