US fast-casual restaurant chain Taco Cabana has partnered Mexican hot sauce brand Cholula to launch an exclusive new cocktail, the Cholula Rita.
The drink will be a blend of Cholula Chili Lime Hot Sauce and Taco Cabana’s signature frozen margarita.

The Cholula Rita fuses Cholula’s balanced heat and the classic zest of a margarita, featuring 100% blue agave and additive-free Casa Alta Tequila, which is exclusively available at Taco Cabana.
The cocktail is considered the perfect accompaniment to Taco Cabana’s array of Mexican dishes, including tacos, fajitas, chips and queso.
Taco Cabana president and chief operations officer Ulyses Camacho said: “Taco Cabana has always been about pushing the boundaries of flavour.
“Partnering with Cholula allows us to bring their authentic Mexican flavour to an entirely new experience — one that perfectly complements our delicious food. The generations-old family recipe that continues to feature arbol and piquin peppers adds a new dimension to the classic margarita.”
Set to be launched across all Taco Cabana locations in the state of Texas from 30 April 2025, the Cholula Rita arrives in time for the festive Cinco de Mayo period.
In March 2025, Taco Cabana expanded its menu with the introduction of new shrimp tacos for the Lent season 2025.
Priced at $3.99, the tacos feature battered shrimp, lettuce, tomato and chipotle ranch in a flour tortilla.
