Uber Delivery global head Susan Anderson stated: “Toast has built one of the most trusted platforms in restaurant technology, and together we’re making it easier for restaurants to grow on their own terms.

“By pairing Toast’s powerful point-of-sale and operations tools with Uber’s delivery expertise and global scale, we’re helping merchants unlock new revenue with less complexity — and giving diners more ways to discover and enjoy the restaurants they love.”

The companies also plan to introduce features to help restaurants attract and retain diners, encompassing offers and advertising integrations.

From 2026, Toast merchants will be able to create and manage promotions and local advertising on Uber Eats directly within the Toast platform, with the aim of generating additional demand via Uber’s marketplace.

The partners will collaborate on initiatives including bundled offers, with a view to expanding their shared customer base.

The focus is on offering integrated tools and flexibility for first and third-party ordering channels, with the intention of driving more revenue at lower cost.

As a component of the wider collaboration, the companies will roll out existing integrations for Uber Eats, Uber Direct and Toast Delivery Services in Canada, and an Uber Eats integration in Ireland and the UK.

Toast will designate Uber as its preferred food delivery marketplace for Toast restaurants around the world.

Toast CEO Aman Narang stated: “Toast’s partnership with Uber is focused on jointly creating a more seamless, integrated experience that gives restaurants more control and flexibility to increase revenue, streamline operations and attract new diners.

“Together, we are empowering the restaurant community with better technology, more choice and less friction in support of our mission to help restaurants delight guests, do what they love, and thrive.”

Toast and Uber have worked together since 2021 to facilitate orders placed via the Uber Eats app.

In 2024, the collaboration was extended to integrate Toast Delivery Services with Uber Direct, enabling restaurants in the US to reduce delivery fees, widen delivery coverage and use Uber’s courier network.
