British celebrity chef Tom Kerridge has confirmed the opening of Butcher’s Tap & Grill in Chelsea, London, later this year.

The Butcher’s Tap & Grill Chelsea will be in a two-story Victorian building covering 3,600ft², formerly home to the Queen’s Head pub, reported The Caterer.

Tibbatts Abel will undertake a complete redesign of the site, encompassing new kitchens, a new bar and dining area, toilets and improved back-of-house spaces.

The pub will span two levels and boast a hardwood bar with a zinc top. It will also have handmade lighting, vintage flooring, curated art, and British-made decorative tiles.

In 2017, Kerridge launched the first Butcher’s Tap & Grill in Marlow through a collaboration with the Greene King pub group.

The Butcher’s Tap & Grill Chelsea menu will focus on wet-led, offering a range of British-oriented butcher-style cuts, burgers, hot dogs, and small snacks.

The offerings will include items like grass-fed beef from HG Walter, as well as duck from Dovecote Farm and Longland Farm.

In a statement, Kerridge said: “We are delighted to have secured such a prestigious location for our second Butcher’s Tap & Grill.

“The pub will be a spin-off from the original, in that it is not a carbon copy of the Marlow pub, more emphasis will be placed on drinks and the bar in Chelsea and we will not offer a takeaway butcher’s service, but guests will be able to choose their cuts from the meat fridge.”
