US-based TransAct Technologies has introduced a cloud-based solution, BOHA! Timer, to assist restaurants and food service companies in managing their back-of-house operations.
The new solution complements BOHA! portfolio of SaaS apps and hardware solutions.
TransAct Technologies chairman and CEO Bart C. Back-of-house staff can use the solution to create timers on the BOHA! Tablet for cooked, cooled and prepared food items and non-food items, as well as to perform other tasks such as sanitation and cleaning.
It allows staff to set unlimited number of timers, triggers audio alerts and on-screen notifications to alert staff when they are expired, and allows them to reset timers easily.
The staff can also customise and pre-configure timers to customers’ unique workflows, as well as integrate the solution with BOHA! Temp to provide a comprehensive process.
In addition, the solution assists companies to track food usage and food waste by creating history reports.
It also eliminates the need for manual counting and automates timer set-up based on an item being timed.
