Coop Switzerland’s foodservice company Transgourmet Deutschland has partnered with German food manufacturer Oetker Group to establish a joint venture (JV) for the Dutch catering market.
The new Food & Beverage Services JV will focus on providing new and comprehensive solutions for the food and beverage market.
Still subject to the approval of the competition authorities, the JV also focuses on developing and expanding the Team Beverage catering and beverage wholesaling platform.
Transgourmet Deutschland chief executive officer Frank Seipelt said: “Transgourmet and Team Beverage entered the beverage market one year ago in order to fulfil customers’ wishes for better performance and shorter communication channels.
“In order to successfully meet the challenge facing the overall beverage and HoReCa market, a further qualitative and quantitative expansion of the platform is necessary.
“The alliance with the Oetker Group should irreversibly establish Team Beverage in combination with our food business – as the platform on the German catering market.”

By GlobalDataBased in Germany, the Team Beverage platform caters to the distribution, purchasing and marketing needs of beverage wholesalers, retailers and restaurateurs.
The JV is aimed at expanding the services for catering companies and offering customers with a forward-looking distribution medium.
