“I look forward to opening my first Dickey’s Barbecue Pit location and serving the people in my community Dickey’s slow-smoked barbecue.”

In a separate development, franchisee Kim Fewlass revealed plans to open five Dickey’s locations throughout Nevada. The first two locations will open in spring and autumn this year and the remaining three in the coming years, while last week Dickey’s new unit opened in Clackamas, Oregon.

Founded in 1941 by Travis Dickey, the Dallas-based restaurant is a family-run barbecue franchise that currently has operations in more than 550 locations in 44 states.

Offerings at the fast-casual concept restaurant include several types of meat that are still slow smoked on-site and home-style sides.
