US-based chain Walk-On’s Bistreaux & Bar is planning to open 17 franchise locations by the end of this year.

The sports bar chain is focussing on development in various US states, including Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas.

Walk-On’s Bistreaux & Bar opened its 25 location this year and has more than 100 sites in development across 15 states.

In addition, the sports bar chain intends to award 25 more franchises in a move to expand its presence across the US.

Walk-On’s Bistreaux & Bar president and chief operating officer Scott Taylor said: “Our pipeline is fuller than it’s ever been, but staying in the sweet spot of opening 20-25 new locations a year will remain a key part of our development strategy.

“We’re not trying to sell, sell, sell, open, open, open, and then exit. We’re in this for the long-run and want to make sure we do it right.
