Fast food restaurant chain Whataburger has launched delivery service for all locations spread out across ten US states.

The company said that customers can place their to order online through the brand’s app and website.

The fast food restaurant chain will be using a third-party service to deliver the orders, which will be packaged in sealed bags for safety and security.

Whataburger senior vice-president and chief restaurant operating officer Rob Rodriguez said: “At Whataburger, we are always looking for ways to make it easy for our guests to get all their favourite menu items, and now with delivery, they do not have to leave the house.

“This offering is just another way for us to bring a more convenient, safe option to satisfy all those Whataburger cravings.”

While placing the orders, customers are required to select a delivery pickup method when prompted and add a delivery address.

They will be also able to select a delivery time before they move on to payment.

Whataburger has also decided to offer reward points to new customers who create an account.

The reward points will help them receive free food and gain exclusive access to Whataburger deals and offers, the company said.

It includes offers such as buy one Dr Pepper Shake online, get one free, available at participating locations between 28 May and 7 June.

The company noted that it will continue serving customers at all its locations through the drive-in and curbside pickup services in addition to the newly launched online delivery service.

Last year, Whataburger agreed to sell its majority stake to the affiliated funds of merchant bank BDT Capital Partners.
