Fast-food hamburger chain White Castle has added a new Sloppy Joe slider and mac and cheese nibblers to its menu, available for a limited time across its US locations.

The Sloppy Joe slider is made using 100% lean ground beef, sweet and tangy sauce with garden vegetables including onions, tomatoes and bell peppers, and smoked cheddar cheese. It is priced at 99¢.

The mac and cheese nibblers contains cheddar cheese, macaroni, and a crispy cheddar batter. It is available as a five-piece option, 12-piece and 20-piece variants.

“Our Sloppy Joe slider is an homage to the classic recipe, that also features the bold and craveable flavours.”

White Castle vice-president Jamie Richardson said: “At White Castle, our Cravers are our family, and we’re excited to share with them this new take on a classic family cooking tradition.

“Much like our original slider, the Sloppy Joe has been an American favourite since the early 20th century. Our Sloppy Joe slider is an homage to the classic recipe, that also features the bold and craveable flavours to which our fans have grown so accustomed.”

The restaurant chain is also offering a new cheesy mac and Joe combo to customers featuring six Sloppy Joe sliders and cheese sliders along with two small mac and cheese nibblers for a price of $7.99.
