WOWorks to acquire fast-casual restaurant chain The Simple Greek

The WOWorks family of brands is set to expand the restaurant concepts in its portfolio with the acquisition of The Simple Greek, a franchise of fast-casual Greek restaurants.

The WOWorks family of brands is set to expand the restaurant concepts in its portfolio with the acquisition of The Simple Greek, a franchise of fast-casual Greek restaurants.

The deal is set to be finalised on 1 April. Financial details have not been disclosed.

WOWorks was set up in December 2020 when Saladworks’ parent company acquired Frutta Bowls and Garbanzo Mediterranean Fresh.

Following the addition of 24 units of The Simple Greek, WOWorks intends to boost growth across all its brands.

Founded in 2015 by entrepreneur and TV personality Marcus Lemonis, The Simple Greek aims to redefine the traditional Greek restaurant with an interactive concept that combines quality ingredients, open kitchens and a Greek atmosphere in a fast-casual environment.

The menu of The Simple Greek is based on a contemporary and healthy take on recipes of ancient Greek.

Fully owned by Centre Lane Partners, the brands of WOWorks are based on the concept of fresh, flavorful and healthy food.

With all of its brands put together, WOWorks has over 215 locations across the US.

Saladworks grew by more than 40 units last year and entered markets such as CanadaCaliforniaTennesseeRhode IslandOhioFlorida and Indiana. Frutta Bowls currently has 37 locations while Garbanzo has 25.
