US-based full-service Mexican restaurants operator Xperience Restaurant Group (XRG) has acquired SOL Mexican Cocina and solita Tacos & Margaritas.

Financial details of the acquisition have not been disclosed.

The total unit count of Xperience Restaurant Group has now increased to 62 corporate-managed units.

Founded in Southern California ten years ago, SOL Mexican Cocina is an upscale-casual brand with locations in Newport Beach, Scottsdale, Playa Vista, and Denver.

SOL’s sister brand solita Tacos & Margaritas is a casual restaurant two Southern California locations in Huntington Beach and Valencia. Both the brands focus on catering Mexican food.

Xperience Restaurant Group chief executive officer Randy Sharpe said: “Our goal from day one has been to optimize our existing brands while simultaneously identifying attractive opportunities for growth. XRG’s portfolio includes Mexican restaurant brands such as Acapulco, El Torito and Chevys Fresh Mex, El Torito Grill, Las Brisas, Who Song and Larry’s, Sinigual. It is an affiliate of global investment firm Z Capital Group.
