US-based fast-casual restaurant Zao Asian Café has selected point-of-sale (POS) technology provider ParTech’s solution for its restaurants.

The solution includes cloud-based Brink POS software and EverServ 600 terminals.

The restaurant chain has made this move in order to support the introduction of its online ordering platform for its restaurants.

Zao Asian Café vice-president Charles O’Grady said: “We made the investment in Brink largely due to our desire to launch online ordering, which, with PAR’s support, we were able to quickly implement.

“Since implementation, gathering reports have been more efficient and the Brink dashboard is an improvement over our prior experience. Additionally, PAR’s Customer Service and reference library have also been very helpful to our business.”

By offering reporting features, the solution enhances the average check amount and in-store effectiveness.

ParTech chief strategy officer Paul Rubin said: “We are pleased to have Zao Asian Café select Brink for its restaurants. Being a Cloud-based, open API software, Brink is the perfect fit for the features that Zao Asian Café is looking to offer their guests, and we look forward to participating in Zao’s continued success with the solution.”

Established in 2014, Zao Asian Café currently operates ten outlets and intends to open four more locations next year.

ParTech is a wholly owned subsidiary of PAR Technology, which offers software, systems and service solutions to the restaurant and retail industries.

The company currently serves about 100,000 restaurants in more than 110 countries.

In September this year, Gyroville deployed two new solutions from ParTech across its ten locations.
