American restaurant chain Bojangles has partnered with ezCater, a food-for-work technology company, to launch its official catering programme in the US.

Utilising ezCater's technology, Bojangles' customers can place their catering orders online, selecting items from the restaurant's menu and scheduling delivery or pickup.

The minimum delivery requirement is $50, and menu items are tailored to accommodate large groups, with descriptions specifying portion sizes for each order.

The initiative marks Bojangles' first company-wide venture into the catering sector, although some franchisees had previously offered similar services.

ezCater chief customer care officer Michelle Smart said: “We are thrilled to support Bojangles in launching their catering programme and look forward to sending them large, incremental orders from workplaces across the country.

“They are sure to be a big hit with our customers. What could be better than bringing your team together over a platter of their delicious chicken biscuits?”

Bojangles aims to make its food more accessible for events and to celebrate with fans on special occasions.

The catering menu includes popular items such as signature made-from-scratch biscuits, Bo Rounds, fried chicken, sandwiches, sides and the renowned Legendary Iced Tea.

Bojangles’ omnichannel initiatives senior director Sergio Perez said: “Since Bojangles started in 1977, our brand has been synonymous with bringing people together over delicious, home-cooked food.

“We’re there for our fans and customers on all occasions, and now we’ve made sharing Bojangles’ famous chicken, biscuits and tea even easier with ezCater.

“ezCater is extremely well-positioned in the business catering market, so we’re excited about the potential to bring our beloved breakfast biscuits and popular chicken to more and more businesses all across Bojangles country.”
