Three-Michelin-star chef Corey Lee has partnered with the Hyundai Motor Group to open a new casual dining concept in Singapore.

Corey Lee is famed for his fine dining San Francisco restaurant, Benu.

The new restaurant, Na Oh, which translates as "moving from inside out" in Korean, will open on 15 June 2024 at the Hyundai Motor Group Innovation Center Singapore (HMGICS).

Na Oh will offer a seasonal menu that blends traditional Korean culinary practices with modern dining expectations.

The four-course prix fixe menu will feature the option of a jinjitsang, a Korean meal with a range of accompaniments, showcasing Chef Lee's innovative approach to cuisine.

Na Oh’s summer menu includes traditional dishes such as Mulhwe, Naengmyun and Samgyetang.

Samgyetang recreates the nostalgic taste of slow-cooked homemade broth, while the Naengmyun will be served with freshly made buckwheat noodles and a specially prepared beef broth.

Ingredients for Na Oh's dishes are sourced from HMGICS's vertical smart farm, ensuring freshness and sustainability.

The farm produces a variety of crops, including ice plants, red coral lettuce and kale, which will be incorporated into the restaurant's offerings.

Na Oh caters to a wide audience, operating from Wednesday to Sunday for both lunch and dinner.

Chef Corey Lee said: “It has been inspiring to bring together the innovation that Hyundai offers at HMGICS with traditional cooking techniques that we have reimagined for the menu.

“I hope to bring a fresh, new approach to Korean cuisine in Singapore, a country renowned for its food lovers.

“While Na Oh will be a casual family-style restaurant, we will be serving the same quality products and technical preparations usually reserved for fine dining.

“I’m excited to make this kind of dining experience more accessible, made possible through Hyundai’s commitment to enhancing the visitor experience at HMGICS.”
