Costa Coffee has bolstered its presence in the UK by opening a brand-new takeaway store in Holborn, London.

Located at Chancery Lane,  the new store offers a convenient grab-and-go coffee experience.

The new location features sleek bars, a dedicated collection point and self-order kiosks.

It is the first Costa Coffee branch in the area to integrate self-order technology alongside freshly baked pastries prepared on-site daily.

In addition to improving customer service, the opening of the store has also created four new job opportunities.

Costa Coffee area manager Mike Traszko stated: “We’re thrilled to bring our new takeaway store to Holborn.

“This store has been designed to deliver the speed and quality Costa Coffee is known for, in a space that’s built for convenience.

“From our freshly baked pastries to the self-order kiosks, every detail has been considered to enhance the on-the-go coffee experience.”

Founded in 1971 in London by Italian brothers Sergio and Bruno Costa, Costa Coffee has expanded to 50 countries.

It operates more than 2,800 coffee shops in the UK and Ireland, with an additional 1,400 globally.

In July 2025, Costa Coffee re-opened its refurbished restaurant at Glasgow Fort shopping centre in Scotland.

The overhauled store featured a modern design with a newly positioned coffee bar, facilitating customer movement and enhancing the overall experience.

The store also added one new barista maestro and three additional baristas to improve service delivery.
