Costa Coffee has reopened its outlet at Glasgow Fort shopping centre after completing a refurbishment.

The updated store features a modern design with a newly positioned coffee bar, facilitating better customer movement and enhancing the overall experience.

The team has been expanded to include one new barista maestro and three additional baristas, contributing to improved service delivery.

The refurbished space has increased the number of charging points, making it more suitable for remote workers.

Customers can choose to visit the store directly or place orders through the Costa Club app and delivery partners.

Costa Coffee area manager Philippa Macintyre stated: “We’re proud of the transformation at our Glasgow Fort store.

“This refresh represents a significant investment in our customer experience, and we can’t wait to welcome both new and familiar faces back to enjoy their favourite coffee - made with Costa’s iconic Mocha Italia Signature taste.”

In July 2025, UK-based fast-food franchise operator QFM Group announced the divestiture of 21 Costa Coffee outlets to SimTrava.

The financial specifics of the deal were not disclosed by the companies. This step marks the end of a 17-year relationship between QFM Group and the Costa Coffee brand.

The acquisition positions SimTrava among the largest Costa Coffee franchisees in the UK, as reported by World Coffee Portal.

In September 2024, Costa expanded its UK presence with a new store in Leeds.

The venue at Middleton’s St George's retail park features a modern design with indoor and outdoor seating arrangements and has created eight jobs.
