Fast-casual lobster roll brand Cousins Maine Lobster (CML) is set to debut a new food truck in Grand Rapids, expanding its footprint in Michigan, US.
The new truck marks CML’s 85th unit and coincides with the brand’s 13th anniversary on 26 April.
It also marks the third CML truck, as well as the second market, for seasoned operators Hussein (Hank) Kdouh, Muhammed (Moe) Zahr, and Rabih Zahr.
The truck‘s menu features Maine lobster rolls, lobster tacos, lobster grilled cheese, and whoopie pies.
Kdouh said: "We're thrilled to bring our third Cousins Maine Lobster food truck to the Grand Rapids community. From day one, our goal has been to recreate the incredible experience we had when we first tried Cousins Maine Lobster. Opening this truck as part of the brand's anniversary celebration is a true honour, and we can't wait for Grand Rapids to fall in love with Cousins Maine Lobster just like we did."
The journey of CML's expansion in Michigan began in 2022 with the launch of its first food truck in Detroit. The second truck was introduced three months later.
The brand's growth continues with plans to open a fourth food truck in Kalamazoo in June 2025.
CML head of development Angela Coppler said: "Hank, Moe, and Rabih are outstanding franchisees who have shown exceptional leadership and dedication since joining Cousins Maine Lobster three years ago.
"We're confident their newest truck in Grand Rapids will have the same energy and success they've seen in Detroit, and we look forward to supporting their continued growth to bring the authentic taste of Maine lobster to more communities."
Last month, the brand extended its reach within the state of New York by launching a new food truck in Albany.
