US-based Tex-Mex chain El Pollo Loco has expanded its menu with three new fire-grilled chicken burritos, featuring handmade guacamole at no additional charge.

Each burrito is priced at $9.99 and is available at participating El Pollo Loco locations in the US.

The company's newly launched burritos are the Guacamole Chicken Burrito, the Chipotle Guacamole Chicken Burrito and the Queso Guacamole Chicken Burrito.

The Guacamole Chicken Burrito combines citrus-marinated, fire-grilled chopped chicken, handmade guacamole, shredded Jack Cheese, pinto beans, cabbage, salsa fresca, and cilantro [coriander] dressing in a warm flour tortilla.

Comprising the same fire-grilled chicken, guacamole and Jack Cheese, the Chipotle Guacamole Chicken Burrito includes chipotle sauce, pinto beans, seasoned rice and cabbage.

The Queso Guacamole Chicken Burrito offers a blend of fire-grilled, shredded chicken in a mild guacamole, roasted tomato salsa, pinto beans, seasoned rice, diced onions, queso sauce and salsa fresca.

El Pollo Loco chief marketing officer Jill Adams stated: “We listened to our customers and redesigned our burrito lineup to be more portable, flavourful, filling and convenient while maintaining the value our customers have come to appreciate.

“We're the destination for everyday value, where extras are included — from double protein in our salads to guacamole in the burritos — we have you covered.”

In December 2023, El Pollo Loco relaunched two of its "Double Pollo Fit Bowls" for the New Year.

For a limited time, the relaunched bowls include Classic Double Pollo Fit and Street Corn Double Pollo Fit bowls.
